1. Your experience
These Guest Terms apply to current SocialTag browser capture and sharing experiences across the main site and controlled subdomains. You do not need an account. A paid organiser booking does not make a guest responsible for the organiser’s payment obligations.
2. Camera and local photos
You choose whether to allow camera access or select an existing photo in Moments Lab. The current demos request no microphone access, apply overlays locally and do not upload photos to SocialTag or an organiser. Save or Download creates a local device copy; Share opens your supported device sharing options. Retake lets you choose another image. Your device, network or selected social app may apply its own terms and charges.
3. Rights and permissions
You retain the rights you hold in your photos, subject to any lawful rights in overlays or other people’s material. Obtain appropriate permission before capturing or sharing another identifiable person. Buying a SocialTag campaign does not give an organiser ownership of guest photos or permission to reuse them in advertising. Capturing, sharing publicly and promotional reuse are separate choices.
4. Children
A parent or legal guardian should supervise a child’s use and provide any authority required by law. Do not submit or share a child’s image without the required permission. A future organiser feature collecting children’s media must identify the organiser and guardian process before collection. Current local capture does not create a hosted guardian-consent database.
5. Rewards
Rewards may involve products, services, discounts, memberships, gym access or other lawful incentives. Demo rewards are illustrations and cannot be redeemed. A real campaign must identify its promoter, eligibility, qualifying action, availability, expiry and redemption method. The named promoter funds and honours the reward unless SocialTag expressly agrees otherwise. Scans and shares do not themselves guarantee a reward or prove social reach. Promotional reuse and marketing permissions are not implied by claiming a reward.
6. Saved link and privacy
Moments Lab’s saved public link remains in your browser until you clear it or remove site data. Clear saved link resets the QR to the page’s online address and does not delete downloaded photos. See the Privacy Notice for hosting, technical information, enquiries and retention. Organiser sample dashboard figures are illustrative; these supplied pages do not send live scan, photo or share measurements to an organiser.
7. Misuse, support and legal rights
Do not use the service for unlawful, abusive, deceptive, infringing or exploitative content. We may restrict affected features for misuse or security concerns. Contact SocialTag.zw@gmail.com with technical or privacy concerns. Reward fulfilment concerns go to the named promoter, with cooperation where needed. Mandatory consumer rights, data rights, regulator complaints and legally required remedies remain available; the paid-client liability cap does not limit a guest’s independent rights.
Fair use
Ordinary guest use is welcome. Do not use bots, automated mass scanning, spam or deliberate overload, or interfere with the service. Temporary restrictions may be needed to protect security or availability and will be proportionate to the issue. Normal sharing or a popular campaign is not, by itself, misuse. These terms do not impose an undisclosed scan charge on guests.
